abstract Vine, etching, left under the plate in the lead-numbered 122/135, right hand signed and dated "Uhlig 1993/98" and below in the middle of frz. titled "La Vigne 1 (dt.: The vine 1)", sheet set-free behind glass, framed, sheet size approx 28 x 19.5 cm, max. sheet dimension: approx. 54 x 37.5. Artist info: dt. Painter, draughtsman and graphic artist (born in 1937 in Dresden), 1951-54 doctrine as Scripture and sign painter, 1954-55 font-signatories at the TU Dresden, between 1955-60 studied at the Academy of fine arts in Dresden with Hans Theo Richter and Max float, 1960-61 freelance, 1961-63 master student at the German Academy of arts in Berlin with Hans Theo Richter, then a freelancer, worked until 1979 as a contract printer in the Künstlerhaus Dresden-Loschwitz, study visits in Brodowin in Chorin and (together with Gerda Lepke) in Lübow in Penzlin, Glowe and in the ore mountains, 1982-98 summer stays in German Neudorf, 1989 guest lecturer at the Academy of Nuremberg, in 1991 a guest Professor at the International Academy for art and design Hamburg, 1995-2002 Professor at the Academy of fine arts Dresden, in 1996, the destruction of numerous Works in the fire of the artist's house in Loschwitz, went on study trips to Bulgaria, Poland, London, Central Asia, the USA, Denmark and Holland, member of the VBK of the GDR, member of the Saxon Academy of the arts, received numerous honors, among other things, in 1887, the Käthe-Kollwitz-prize, in 1998 the Hans-Theo-Richter-Preis and the Saxon order of merit, 2005 guest of honour of the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo, temporarily in Berlin Pankow resident, 1959-96 in the Künstlerhaus Dresden-Loschwitz, starting in 1996 in Dresden-help mountain, since 1991, each in the spring and autumn work placements in the South of France (Faucon), a source: Vollmer, Eisold "artists in the GDR" and the Internet.
