Eiserne Axt mit kurzer runder Tülle und schmalem Blatt, die Schneide leicht gekurvt. Breite, eng verwobene Flechtbänder aus Silber auf dem Nacken, auf beiden Blattseiten und auch auf dem Rücken des Blattes. Dort auch eine stilisierte Einlage aus Gold. Gut erhaltene Eisensubstanz. Intakt. Länge 11,8 cm. Gewicht 175 g.

A Viking ceremonial axe with silver and gold inlays, 10th century
The iron axe with a short round socket and a narrow blade, the cutting edge slightly curved. Broad, tightly interwoven braided bands of silver on the neck, on each side of the blade and also on the back of the blade, together with a stylised gold inlay. Well-preserved iron substance. Intact. Length 11.8 cm. Weight 175 g.
