Exemplaire en maroquin rouge, aux armes du pape Clément XIV. L'ouvrage relate l'exploit technique de Louis de Régemortes, qui parvint à dessiner et bâtir le pont de Moulins, après l'échec de nombre de confrères, parmi lesquels Hardouin-Mansart dont la tentative avait été réduite à néant par une crue.
Après une décennie de travaux, le pont, composé alors de 13 arches ovales, est achevé en 1753 - l'ouvrage documente et célèbre son achèvement près d'une vingtaine d'années plus tard. Une des arches est abattue en 1940, pour freiner l'avancée des troupes allemandes. Peu après la guerre, le pont est inscrit au titre des monuments historiques. Tarbé de Saint-Hardouin, Notices biographiques sur les ingénieurs des ponts et chaussées depuis la création du corps, en 1716, jusqu'à nos jours, pp. 23-24.
Grand in-folio (525 x 375 mm). Édition originale. 1 titre-frontispice allégorique et 16 planches gravées, certaines dépliantes. Reliure de l'époque en maroquin rouge, armes du pape Clément XIV au centre des plats, triple filet doré en encadrement, dos à nerfs, caissons ornés, gardes de papier marbré, tranches dorées. Provenance : reliure aux armes de Giovanni Vincenzo Antonio Ganganelli (1705-1774), pape Clément XIV à partir de 1769 -- sur le contreplat, ex-libris gravé du Fermier Général Saulot de Bospin. Il s'agit vraisemblablement d'Adrien Charles Saulot de Bospin, Fermier Général donc et administrateur des domaines du roi avant la Révolution. Sa bibliothèque sera dispersée en 1804.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
