Schwarzer, hell geäderter, abgetreppter, runder Mamorsockel. Halblebensgroße Version. Naturalistische Darstellung eines männlichen Turners mit stark definierter Muskulatur, der in höchst energievoller, dynamischer Pose auf einem kleinen Reifen turnt und sich hierbei nur mit einer Hand abstützt. Inspiriert durch den legendären amerikanischen Turner Kurt Thomas, der die Figur als erster auf dem Seitpferd entwickelte. Für die Olympischen Sommerspiele 1996 in Atlanta schuf MacDonald "The Flair" als 26 Fuß (fast 8 m) hohe Skulptur eines Turners, er entwarf zudem den Platz, einschließlich eines großen reflektierenden Pools und eines Brunnens, eingeweiht kurz vor der Eröffnung der Olympischen Spiele. "The Flair" bzw. "Flair Across America" feiert laut eigener Aussage "den Triumph des menschlichen Geistes und die Idealisierung der menschlichen Form". Es hat für ihn eine universelle Botschaft und verkörpert zugleich das olympische Credo des Vaters der modernen Olympischen Spiele, Baron Pierre de Coubertin. Der Künstler brachte sogar olympische Goldmedaillengewinner zusammen, um mit dem Denkmal auf Tour zu gehen, darunter Kurt Thomas, der die Turnbewegung namens "The Flair" populär machte. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
