Having moved to France at the age of fourteen, Bonington became well acquainted with a number of French artists, most notably Eugène Delacroix and Antoine-Jean Gros. It is probable that these two drawings were sent to Madame Perrier by Bonington in 1824, following a request from her to supply her and her daughters with information on women’s fashion.

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
