Two rare newspapers published during the period of the Venetian republic. The Sior Antonio Rioba, like the contemporaries "Pasquino" and "Uomo di Pietra" of Rome and Milan, takes its name from a "talking" statue still present in Campo dei Mori and it was the most renown caricature newspaper of the short republican period.

8vo (240 x 150mm). 152 issues (from no. 1 of 13 July 1848 to no. 152 of 28 December 1848) numerous humorous cartoons in text (browning). Printed editorial boards (spine partially detached, some chipping) of this very rare Venetian satirical newspaper; [WITH] San Marco, Giornale politico. 8vo, (230 x 160mm). 100 issues, all published (from n.1 of 1 December 1848 to n.100 of Tuesday 13 March 1849). Contemporary half calf with gilt title on spine.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
