Maße 82 x 120 x 12 mm. Gewicht 112 g. Tagungsabzeichen und Buch "Ludwig Knickmann" (mit Widmung des Autors Fritz Sell). Dazu zwölf Fotos mit Knickmann bei Paraden usw., teils zusammen mit anderen Persönlichkeiten. Außerdem ein lindgrüner Doppelbogen Briefpapier des "Rheinhotels Dreesen" mit gedruckter Fotoansicht und Adresse, darauf eigenhändige und signierte Genesungswünsche in Tinte an Knickmann, datiert "21.Nov. 36": "Herzliche Grüße und Genesungswünsche Adolf Hitler", "Baldige Genesung! Grohé", "P. Mulzer", "Julius Schaub" und "Dr. Karl Brandt". Gefaltet.
Heinz Knickmann (1894 - 1941) wird im 1. Weltkrieg zweimal verwundet, nimmt 1923 an Sabotageaktionen gegen die Ruhrbesetzung teil und dient von 1924 - 1932 in der Reichswehr. Nach seinem NSDAP-Beitritt 1925 wird er 1932 Stabsführer in der SA-Untergruppe Westfalen-Nord und von 1933 bis zu seinem Tod Mitglied des Reichstags. 1933 erfolgt auch die Ernennung zum Polizeipräsidenten von Duisburg-Hamborn, 1937 die zum SA-Obergruppenführer und Führer der SA-Gruppe Niederrhein. 1938 wird er einberufen und fällt 1941 als Kommandeur des II./IR 501 bei Sabolotje. Posthum wird ihm noch das DKiG verliehen.

An early portrait photograph with the signature, "Adolf Hitler", in his own hand in ink. Silver cigarette case with a decorative hammered finish, the lid engraved "S.A.Gruppe Niederrhein" and a map with the territories of the individual brigades. The inside gilt and engraved "In alter Treue und Verbundenheit zum 4. Februar 1938. Das Führerkorps der S.A. Gruppe Niederrhein - Knickmann - Obergruppenführer". Mark of fineness "835". Heinz Knickmann (1894 - 1941) was wounded twice during World War I, took part in acts of sabotage against the Occupation of the Ruhr in 1923 and served in the Reichswehr from 1924 - 1932. After joining the NSDAP in 1925, he became Stabsführer in the SA sub-group Westfalen-Nord in 1932 and was a member of the Reichstag from 1933 until his death. In 1933, he was appointed President of the Police in Duisburg-Hamborn; in 1937, he was promoted to SA Obergruppenführer and Führer of the SA group Niederrhein. He enlisted in 1938 and was subsequently killed in action near Zabolotye in 1941 as Commander of the II/IR 501. Posthumously awarded the German Cross in Gold.
