Le Sacre de Louis XV, roy de France et de Navarre, dans l'église de Reims, le dimanche 25 octobre 1722. S.l.n.d. [Paris : 1723]
Un des chefs-d'oeuvre de l'imprimerie royale - Exemplaire de présent, relié par Padeloup le Jeune en maroquin bleu nuit aux armes royales. La reliure présente son étiquette au bas de la planche gravée listant les artistes. Il s'agit de la première version de cette étiquette, utilisée par Padeloup avant son accession à la charge de relieur du roi, en 1733. Le riche décor qui encadre, sur les plats, les armes du roi, a été appliqué à l'aide de quatre plaques différentes, avec le chiffre royal frappé ensuite dans les angles. Dans son étude sur les reliures du Sacre, Paul Culot dénombrait seulement 17 exemplaires arborant un décor similaire. Graver pour le roi. Collections historiques de la Chalcographie du Louvre. Grand in-folio (625 x 470 mm). Un titre gravé, 9 grandes planches à double page, 30 planches de costumes à pleine page, une table gravée à double page et 33 feuillets de texte dans des encadrements gravés (comme toujours, quelques piqûres et légères rousseurs éparses). Reliure de l'époque de Padeloup le Jeune (avec son étiquette sur le feuillet listant les artistes) en maroquin bleu nuit, large encadrement floral à la plaque sur les plats, avec double "L" aux angles, armes de Louis XV au centre (OHR pl. 2495, fer n° 20), dos à nerfs, caissons richement ornés de double "L" et de lys couronnés, gardes de papier marbré, tranches dorées (restaurations aux charnières et au coins, frottements aux chasses, petite griffure au plat supérieur). First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
