Silber, vergoldet. Gegossene Silberplatte, rückseitig mit fein graviertem Blatt- und Blütendekor. Mittig durchbrochen gearbeitetes Medaillon, welches das Lamm Gottes zeigt. Darüber geschwungene Spanne. Den Rand der Schauseite ziert ein Kordelband. Innen geschnittenes Silberblech in Form von Schnecken und stilisiertem Blattwerk. Partiell bunt emailliert. Dazwischen reicher Steinbesatz mit Türkisen, Bergkistall und Schmucksteinen. Steine partiell mit Fehlstellen und wenige verloren. Silberblech und Emaille mit kleinen Fehlstellen. Ungemarkt. Durchmesser 12,6 cm, Höhe 2,7 cm, Gesamtgewicht 281 g. Ein sehr prunkvolles Stück.
Ein Heftel gehört zum Trachtenschmuck der Siegenbürger Sachsen. Zunächst nur als Schließe für einen Mantel verwendet, wurde es ab dem 18. Jhdt. als eine Art Brosche als Schmuckstück zur Festtracht getragen.

Gilt silver. Moulded silver plate, the back decorated with finely engraved foliage and floral ornaments. The medallion openworked at the centre, depicting the Lamb of God. Above which a curved span. A corded band around the edge at the front. The interior with chased sheet silver in the form of scrolls and stylised foliage. Partly enamelled in colour. Lavishly set with turquoises, rock crystal and gemstones. Some of the stones are damaged, a few have been lost. Minor imperfections in the sheet silver and enamel. Apparently unmarked. Diameter 12.6 cm, height 2.7 cm, total weight 281 g. A magnificent piece.
A heftel was part of the traditional decoration worn by the Siegenbürg Saxons. Initially only used as a clasp on a cloak, from the 18th century it was worn as a type of brooch on their festive national costume.
