Hoher schwarzer Lederhelm mit seitlichen Hiebwülsten, auf dem vorne mit Messing eingefassten Lederkamm ein nach vorne fallender schwarzer Rosshaarbusch. Lederner Augenschirm mit Messingeinfassung. Großer Stirnschild aus Messing mit eingeprägtem reliefierten Gardestern und russischem Doppeladler. Messing-Schuppenketten mit Schaflederfutter. Braunes Lederschweißband mit naturfarbenem Leinenfutter. Stirnschild mit altem Sammleretikett bzw. rotfarbener handgeschriebener Nummer "930". Altersspuren, leichte Beschädigungen. A very rare Russian helmet M 1808 for enlisted Life Guard Cuirassiers or mounted artillery, circa 1810 - 1816
The high, black leather helmet with protective padding on the sides. The leather comb, set with brass in front, bears a black horsehair plume inclined towards the front. Leather peak with brass trim. Large brass plate in front with embossed guard star in relief and Russian double-headed eagle. Brass metal chinscales lined with sheepskin. Brown leather sweatband with natural-coloured linen lining. The front plate with an old collection label and the number "930" handwritten in red. Signs of age, slight damage. One of the most classic, and rarest, of Russian helmets.
