On irregular, with plastic flowers and leaves occupied Base, under a tree, a seated shepherd in black knee breeches, white shirt and gold-lined purple jacket, the hair of a yellow hat covered. At his feet the seated dog. To the side a close to him and pliable, yet at the end of his Hand at the end, a young shepherdess holding in summery clothing with a red-and-black bodice and a colorful Indian flower patterned crinoline skirt. On her lap a lamb sitting. Polychrome painting with Gold contouring. Design by Johann Joachim Kaendler, 1738. Unw. restored; h. 26.5 cm. Kaendler was a well-known engraving of the engraver Gabriel Huquier after françois Boucher inspire. The popular group was followed in 1742 a different shape without the tree. Such a copy is part of the collection det significant collection of Vicotria and Albert Museum in London, Inv.-No C. 151-1931. Cf.
