Kräftige zweischneidige Klinge mit abgeflachtem Mittelgrat, im oberen Drittel beidseitig schmale Kehlung. Einseitig in Messing eingelegte Marke. Die dreifach gekehlte Fehlschärfe einseitig mit zwei geschlagenen Pi-Marken. Gerade eiserne Parierstange mit beidseitig großen Parierringen. Geschnittener Spiral-, Baluster- und Diamantbuckeldekor, die Enden der Arme in flache, spiralig gekehlte Knäufe auslaufend. Gestufte Hilze, der originale Lederbezug mit floralem Kerbdekor und eiserner Zierbenagelung. Kräftiger, achtfach gerippter Knauf mit spiralig gekehltem Vernietknauf. Länge 171 cm.

A rare South German two-hand battle sword, circa 1540
Sturdy, double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section, cut with shallow fullers on each side of the upper third. A brass-inlaid mark stamped on one side. The ricasso with triple fullers and two Pi marks struck on one side. Straight iron quillons with two large lateral guard rings. Chiselled décor of spirals, balusters and lozenges, the arms terminating in flat, spirally fluted knobs. Stepped grip, the original leather cover with incised floral ornamentation and decorative iron studs. The sturdy pommel with eight ribs and a spirally fluted, riveted button. Length 171 cm.
Extremely rare, large battle sword dating from the time of the Schmalkaldic War.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
