Dreiteilige Fertigung, die Schwärzung des Eisenkerns ist nahezu vollständig erhalten, Silberrahmen mit Feingehaltspunze "800" auf der Rückseite sowie die Herstellermarkierung "L/12", der Sprungring fehlt, Gewicht 31,49 g. Bei dem Etui handelt es sich um eine sehr frühe Nachkriegsfertigung, UV negativ. Alters- und Tragespuren.
Der Träger des Ritterkreuzes war Major der Reserve Siegfried Grabert. Er diente im Lehr-Regiment z.b.V. 800 "Brandenburg", gefallen am 25. Juli 1942 bei Bataisk. Am 6. November 1943 wurde ihm posthum das Eichenlaub verliehen. Sein Schulfreund und Kriegskamerad Eugen Fohrer, ebenfalls ein "Brandenburger", erhielt den Auftrag, seiner Mutter das Ritterkreuz und weitere Besitztümer zu überbringen. Sie schenkte Fohrer daraufhin das Ritterkreuz. Bis zu dessen Tod im Jahr 2005 bewahrte er das Ritterkreuz sorgfältig auf. Das Etui stammt nicht aus dem Besitz von Major Grabert.

Crafted in three pieces, the blackening of the iron centre is almost completely preserved. Silver frame with mark of fineness "800" on the reverse and maker’s mark "L/12", suspension ring is missing. Weight 31.49 g. The case is a very early post-war issue, UV negative. Traces of age and wear.
The Knight’s Cross was awarded to Major der Reserve Siegfried Grabert. He served with Lehr-Regiment z.b.V. 800 "Brandenburg" and was killed in action near Bataisk on 25 July 1942. On 6 November 1943 he was awarded the Oak Leaves posthumously. His school friend and war comrade Eugen Fohrer, who also served in the Brandenburg regiment, received the order to hand over the Knight’s Cross and further possessions to Grabert’s mother. On receiving them, she gave the Knight’s Cross to Fohrer, who kept it safe until his death in 2005. We are also offering the Wehrpaß of Major Grabert in the second part of our autumn auction (O 107).
The case of issue does not come from Major Grabert’s possession.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
