Der kugelförmige Körper ist aufwändig mit Silberintarsien verziert und zeigt ein Paar Taotie-Masken unter einem Paar aufrechter Griffe. Der Sockel ist mit einer Zwei-Zeichen-Marke Shisou tauschiert. Gewicht: 916 gr.
Sammlung Dr. Ulrich Lindenmann (1920 - 2018), Berlin, laut Aufzeichnungen erworben in den 1980er Jahren von Leo Spik in Berlin, versteigert von ihm bei Nagel, 9.12.2014, Lot 1119

Der als Shi Sou (alter Mann Shi) bekannte Metallschmied aus der Ming-Zeit war berühmt für seine Spezialisierung auf die Herstellung von Bronzeobjekten mit Silbereinlagen. Sein Stil wurde zum Vorbild für spätere Waren, die ab dem 17. Jahrhundert und während der gesamten Qing-Dynastie hergestellt wurden. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
