Elfenbein, plastisch geschnitzt. Fein geschnitzte Darstellung eines dickbäuchigen, kleinwüchsigen Mannes in der typischen Tracht eines Hofnarren. In seiner Rechten hält er einen Stab. Rundum besetzt mit zehn Rubin-, vier Saphir- und zwei Amethyst-Cabochons. Auf einem runden, ebonisierten Holzsockel. Elfenbein leicht rissig. Ein Stein mit Kratzern. Ein kleines Stück (Gegenstand in der linken Hand) abgebrochen. Höhe 24,5 cm bzw. 15 cm (Figur).
Das Amt des "Hofzwerges" wurde an europäischen Höfen oft vergeben. Die vielfältigen Aufgaben eines Hofzwerges beinhalteten oft auch das Amt des Hofnarren. Mit CITES-Gutachten.

Three-dimensional carved ivory sculpture. Finely carved depiction of a potbellied man of small stature in the typical costume of a court jester, holding a rod in his right hand. Continuously set with ten ruby, four sapphire and two amethyst cabochons. Mounted on a round, ebonised wooden base. Ivory slightly cracked. One stone with scratches. A small piece (object in the left hand) broken off. Height 24.5 cm (overall) and 15 cm (figure).
The position of "court dwarf" was frequently assigned at European courts. The multiple duties of a court dwarf frequently also included the position of court jester. With CITES certificate.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
