Dreiteilig gearbeiteter Helm mit seitlich vernieteter Konstruktion. Die einteilig getriebene Kalotte kräftig gegratet, der Sehschlitz an Ober- und Unterseite nach innen gebördelt. An Vorder- und Rückseite beweglich vernietete Befestigungsschnallen. Dunkle Alterspatina mit teils deutlichen Korrosionsspuren. Die Kalotte stellenweise leicht verbeult mit kleinen Durchrostungen, der Grat über dem Sehschlitz eingerissen. Höhe 34 cm, Gewicht 3.500 g.
Ein vergleichbarer Helm befindet sich in der Sammlung der Royal Armouries in Leeds (Inv.Nr. IV.1841). Helme dieser Art haben sich gelegentlich als Funeralhelme erhalten.

Helmet composed of three plates with lateral rivets. The one-piece skull with a distinctive medial ridge, the upper and lower edge of the single sight turned inward. Movable riveted buckles at front and back. Dark age patina with partially distinctive traces of corrosion. The skull partially slightly dented with small rust holes, the ridge over the sight torn in. Height 34 cm, weight 3,500 g.
A similar helmet is housed in the collection of the Royal Armouries in Leeds (Inv.Nr. IV.1841). Helmets of this type have occasionally survived as funerary helmets.
