Technique: Wood ebonised, acromatic glass, enamel, metal gilt, wood gold-plated amongst others.
Description: Box glazed on four sides. Front plate with applied, pierced spandrel ornaments, finely
engraved floral ornament in the centre. Enamelled ring dial with Arabic hours and minutes.
A mock pendulum under the 12. Chime and repeater setting and month display in the lunette.
Richly engraved back plate with crowned double eagle. Day running mechanism with
quarter-hour chime on two bells, going work over chain and fusee, striking movement over
barrels, pear pendulum.
Measurement: 56x35,5x25,5cm.
Mark: On ring dial inscr. "Johann Georg Gingl in Pilsen Meisterstück". On the back panel inscr. "Iohan Georgius Giegl Fechten Pilsen" (Abeler p.181).
Enamel dial distinctly chipped.
