First edition in Latin of an early work about Switzerland. The copy, in addition to an ex dono authoris on title - "Al chiarissimo Gasparo ?Varuffio medico.. dno et amico honorando Simlery" -, is enriched with 13 woodcut views of Swiss cities with the name of the city in manuscript (the name often trimmed and illegible). Simler was a Swiss theologian and classicist and the author of the first book entirely devoted to the Alps.

8vo (167 x 117mm). Printer's device on title, woodcut initials and headpieces, 13 folding woodcut views (4 leaves lacking at end of which one blank although the work ends with the word "finis", light browning and soiling). 18th-century boards backed in green paper with shelfmark label, manuscript title on lower and upper edges (extremities rubbed).

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
