Hybrid NFT (NFT + Print)
"Haruspex - Early Bird" is the debut NFT by Tim Berresheim.
For the first time, he created an NFT with the right to have the digital work produced as a physical print in the future, technology permitting. In addition to the NFT, the collector already receives a physical print of the digital work.
In his artistic work, Tim Berresheim explores the relationship between art and technology and the influence of three- and multi-dimensional, illusionistic space on his compositions. With "Haruspex - Early Bird", the artist presents a complex work that breaks down the boundaries of the transfer of digital rendering into the real world by speculating on future technological developments. His "Haruspex" (Haruspex is a Roman priest who predicts the future via signs) provides additional digital information from the digital work that can also be transferred to the real world in the future. As an "early bird", Tim Berresheim is already making his digital work physically accessible to collectors.
Even in the digital age, technology is reaching the limits of what can be represented in real life. Some digital colour spectrums are simply not yet printable today, making it impossible for artists to offer their digital art as an equivalent print. With NFT, Tim Berresheim has found a way to promise his digital work to collectors today as a future physical print. In the NFT, the artist certifies not only information on exposure and colour, but also 13 more on the outputs of Depth Map, Albedo, Denoise Albedo Noisy, Diffuse Direct, Diffuse, ID, Indirect, N, P, Raycount, Specular Albedo, Specular Direct and Specular Indirect from his digital work, which are supplied on a USB stick. As soon as technology allows, the collector can have the digital work produced accurately in physical form. In order to capture the technical limits that Tim Berresheim faced in this work for the future, the artist is already offering a print that can later be placed next to the new, mature print of his digital artwork.
