Hybrid NFT (NFT + Inkjet Print)
"Desktop Wallpaper (Concerned Shapes)" is Johannes Bendzulla's debut NFT. In addition to the NFT, the collector receives the physical print.
The basic motif of this work is a snow-covered mountain landscape, a classic subject in the genre of desktop background images. The artist has supplemented it with the depiction of a huge Plexiglas bonnet, a so-called spit shield, under which perfect geometric basic forms fearfully seek protection from raining paint splashes. Here, symbolically condensed, a basic theme of his artistic work becomes apparent: the examination of the specific features of digital aesthetics and their possibilities and impossibilities.
Johannes Bendzulla has designed his first NFT as a desktop wallpaper that can be downloaded and used free of charge by all interested users. But only the collector receives exclusive proof of ownership in the form of the NFT and a physical version produced as an image object.
Represented by Petra Rinck Gallery.
