ONE PAIR WITH MARK OF PHILLIPS GARDEN, LONDON, 1756; THE OTHER PAIR WITH MARK OF IC, POSSIBLY FOR J. COLLINS, LONDON, 1755

Each on shaped openwork stem and pedestal foot formed of scrolls and vine leaves, the circular bowl formed of acanthus leaves and husks, with gadrooned rim, with glass liners, marked on body

Provenance

Possibly supplied to Thomas, 3rd Viscount Weymouth, later 1st Marquess of Bath (1734-1796), by descent to,

John Alexander, 4th Marquess of Bath (1831-1896), then by descent at Longleat,

Furniture, Porcelain and Silver from Longleat; Christie's, London, 13-14 June 2002, lot 331.
