Édition originale du seul livre illustré d'eaux-fortes par Juan Gris. La pièce fut jouée la première fois le 17 mai 1924 au Théâtre de la Cigale. The Artist and the book, n° 126 (“Tzara [...] had long wanted drawings from Gris and this publication is their only collaboration") ; Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler, marchand, éditeur, écrivain, Centre Georges Pompidou, pp. 62-64 ("Dominant absolument le métier, la matière, il confère à la silhouette de chacun des personnages une ampleur tranquille, presque monumentale.") ; Rauch, n° 99.

In-12 (190 x 118 mm). Un des 90 exemplaires sur vergé d'Arches, celui-ci le n° 43, signé par l'auteur et l'artiste. Illustré de 9 eaux-fortes originales de Juan Gris, dont 1 pour la couverture et 4 hors-texte. Reliure signée de Devauchelle, datée 2003 : chagrin ébène mosaïqué sur chaque plat d'une composition géométrique de pièces de bois, de maroquin crème estampé à froid, de maroquin rouge et de maroquin bleu, noms de l'auteur et de l'artiste respectivement mosaïqués au premier et second plat de pièces de maroquin crème, beige et chagrin ébène, dos lisse titré crème, doublures et gardes de daim beige, couverture conservée. Sous chemise et étui.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
