Woodblock map of late Qing China, ink printed on paper, composed of four separate hanging scrolls on old mounts, wood rollers with original purple protective cloth at ends, each scroll approximately 1280 x 330 mm (image) and 1410 x 390 mm with the mounting for an overall map size of 1280 x 1320 mm. Title at the upper left corner, a cartographical guide at the lower left and texts about the provinces at the lower right. Map on a scale of 1:50,000. Administrative divisions, electronic networks, telecommunications bureau, sea lighthouses included. Provincial boundaries represented by thick black dotted lines. (Mounting damaged, tears and wormholes along edges, especially the upper margins, wormholes in the upper right texts with loss of some characters; stains and water marks; some cracks with old restorations, paper lost to an area of approx. 105 x 55mm on the upper right margin of the first scroll (reading from right to left).
