Self-portrait of the artist at the easel, half figure to the right, on an easel standing portrait of a monk pointing. Backside G": Ant: Abr. Holiday. junior. Se ipsum / pinxit. Aet: suae. 19 Ans / 1764". Oil on canvas, 96,5 x 70 cm. Edge doubling. Restoration. Framework min. damaged by Georg Anton Abraham holiday was the nephew of the most important representative of the Franconian family of artists, Georg Anton Urlaub. Georg Anton Abraham was as a portrait painter in Bamberg, Erlangen, Nürnberg, Ansbach, Augsburg, Regensburg, and Mainz. In 1781, the artist was appointed because of his "most notable efforts" as a member of the Augsburg Academy. The 19-year-old young artist presented to himself on his self-portrait in the youthful and self-confident attitude, the pride he shows in one of his early portrait of a Church dignitary.
