Exemplaire aux armes et chiffre du roi Henri IV, de la bibliothèque du collège des Jésuites de La Flèche, dont il avait commandité la création. C'est Henri IV qui autorisa, par lettres patentes, le retour des jésuites en France en 1603 et préconisa la fondation de ce quatorizème collège, dont René Descartes fut l'élève dès la première promotion, de 1604 à 1612. Bien qu'Henri IV n'ait jamais été dauphin, le fer frappé au centre des plats présente un dauphin couronné et le semis alterne dauphins non couronnés et fleurs de lys, vraisemblablement par volonté de varier l'ornementation (OHR). Cette troisième édition latine, la plus complète, contient également le Declamatio et Poemata. Brunet, V, col. 1042 ; Baudrier, IV, p. 136 (édition de 1579).
In-folio (382 x 289 mm). Texte en latin. Illustré d'un portrait gravé de l'auteur, 267 vignettes gravées, 12 gravures in-texte, bandeaux, lettrines et culs-de-lampe gravés. Reliure de l'époque : maroquin blond aux armes du roi Henri IV (OHR, 13, pl. 2492, fer n° 5), semis de dauphins non couronnés et de fleurs de lys alternés, chiffre de Henri IV aux angles (OHR, 13, pl. 2492, fer n°12) et triple filet doré en encadrement des plats, dos titré or reprenant le même semis, coupes ornées doré.

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. Choose a lot from the upcoming auction and the maximum amount you want to place on it. After confirmation of your choice, we will send your application by e-mail to the appropriate auction house. Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
