Purchased in September 2025 at the Van Cleef & Arpels boutique in Cannes, France.


Description:
Signed ‘VCA’, individual number JO130599 engraved. A long necklace with a pendant in the shape of a four-leaf clover, characteristic of Van Cleef & Arpels, set with diamonds.

The Alhambra collection was first launched in 1968 and quickly became an icon of the house. Inspired by the symbol of luck, it has since stood for timeless elegance, positive symbolism and the unmistakable design of Van Cleef & Arpels. Here, the characteristic four-leaf clover silhouette is set on a long, delicate chain. The sautoir necklace gained particular significance at the beginning of the 20th century, becoming a symbol of modern, self-assured elegance in the 1920s. Its long, flowing form represented movement and social change. This traditional jewellery style is given a timeless new interpretation in the long Alhambra necklace.
