Vollplastische, geschwärzte Metallplastik in Form des frühen Luftwaffenadlers, auf dem Hakenkreuz rs. unten die Künstlersignatur "Schmidt Hofer" sowie unleserlicher Gießereistempel. Der abgestufte dunkelgrüne Marmorsockel mit gravierter Plakette "Wanderpreis - Dem Sieger im Modernen Fünfkampf - Klasse B - Der SA-Gruppe Hansa - Gegeben von der Hamburger Hochbahn Aktiengesellschaft" und rs. "Sieger 1938 - Obertruppführer Kay Mestern II/45". Gesamthöhe 49 cm. Dazu die unter Glas gerahmte, gesiegelte Verleihungsurkunde von 1938 sowie zwei kleinformatige Fotos, die den Preis und die Urkunde in der Wohnung Mesterns zeigen. Die Wettbewerbskämpfe 1939 entfielen kriegsbedingt, weswegen der Preis nicht weiter- bzw. zurückgegeben wurde. Eine der beeindruckensten Plastiken seit langem und in Kombination mit der Urkunde von größter Seltenheit.

Three-dimensional, blackened metal sculpture in the shape of the early Luftwaffe eagle on a stepped dark green marble base. The base with engraved plaque (tr.) "Challenge trophy – To the winner in modern pentathlon – Class B – The SA Group Hansa – Awarded by Hamburg Hochbahn Stock Company" and on the reverse (tr.) "Winner 1938 – Obertruppführer Kay Mestern II/45". Overall height 49 cm. Comes with the sealed award certificate dated 1938, framed and under glass, and two small-sized photographs showing the trophy and the certificate in Mestern’s apartment. Since the outbreak of the war lead to the cancellation of the 1939 contest the trophy was neither passed on nor returned. One of the most impressive sculptures and of utmost rarity in combination with the award certificate.

Auctions are performed by auction houses and each of the auction houses describes their terms of auction. You can see the texts in the section "Auction information".
The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
