Landschaft mit rastender Herde Rinder, Schafen und Ziegen
Szene vor einem mit Reet oder Stroh gedeckten Stall, der von zwei Kopfweiden flankiert wird, im Hintergrund ein Berg. Romeyn war auf die Darstellung von Hirten und Vieh spezialisiert, die er meist vor imaginierte italienische Landschaften und römisch-antike Ruinen komponierte. Er gehörte zur zweiten Generation holländischer Italianisanten, beeinflusst von Nicolaes Berchem (1620 - 1683), bei dem er lernte (belegt 1642) und Karel Dujardin. 1646 trat er der Haarlemer Lukasgilde bei. 1650/51 lebte er selbst in Rom, kehrte dann nach Haarlem zurück, wo er in der Malergilde aktiv war. Außer zu Berchem und Dujardin zeigen sich im Oeuvre Romeyns Motiv- und Stilbezüge zu Hendrik Mommers, Adriaen van der Kabel, Willem Buytewech (II) und Dirck Helmbreeker. Öl/Eichenholztafel. Verso alter Klebezettel des 18./19. Jhs. in Französisch: "No. 45 Guill(au)me Romeyn. Paysage qui réprésente un Croupeau de Boeuf & de mouton reposant sur un Paturage devant une Chaumiere", außerdem Bez. mit schwarzer Feder "VAN ROMEYN" u. rotes Wachssiegel mit Monogramm "MB" in Ligatur. 35 cm x 41 cm. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
