with Christie's, London, April 1834, no. 72, where unsold and subsequently offered at the following,
Galerie du Palais de l'Élysée; Bataillard and Paillet, Paris, 4-6 April 1837, lot 74 (3,810 francs to Charles J. Nieuwenhuys on behalf of the following).
Johan Steengracht van Oostcapelle (1782-1846), and by descent to his son,
Hendrik Steengracht van Oosterland (1808-1875), and by inheritance to his nephew,
Hendricus Adolphus Steengracht van Duivenvoorde (1836-1912); his sale (†), Galerie Georges Petit, Paris, 9 June 1913, lot 77 (21,000 francs to Stettiner); acquired shortly after by the family of the present owners.
