Lettre autographe signée d'Émile Zola à Guy de Maupassant, écrite au retour de leur voyage à Rouen pour l'enterrement de Gustave Flaubert. L'auteur y évoque l'article promis à Maupassant à l'occasion de la publication du recueil Des Vers, paru le 25 mai 1880 dans Le Voltaire : "Votre lettre m'est arrivée comme je commençais l'article qui a dû paraître ce matin. Je suis encore si bousculé par mon voyage à Rouen, que je n'ai pas la tête bien à moi. Enfin, j'ai voulu tenir ma promesse ; et si l'article n'est pas fameux, ne m'en veuillez pas. Je l'ai bâti surtout pour donner un coup d'épaule à l'édition." Zola est ébranlé par la mort soudaine de Flaubert, survenue le 8 mai 1880 : "Moi aussi je ne puis me débarasser de la grande image de Flaubert. Le soir, avant de m'endormir, je le vois constamment. Enfin, comme vous le dites, il faut bien s'accoutumer à la mort, car elle va désormais nous prendre chaque jour un peu des autres et de nous-mêmes." Il écrira pour Le Figaro un texte intitulé "Mes souvenirs sur Gustave Flaubert", paru en décembre 1880, détaillant ses états d'âme lors de l'enterrement de son ami : "Aucune mort ne pouvait m’atteindre ni me bouleverser davantage." The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
