TWO RED- AND BLACK LACQUERED BUTSUDAN - Japan, late Edo/ Meiji period - The interior of the large, black-lacquered shrine contains a sandalwood carved and black painted figure of Bishamonten with ferocious face features, standing on an Oni. The small, red-lacquered butsudan contains a carved figure of Marishiten. The reverse of shrine inscribed, that is no longer legible. - From the estate of the Austrian diplomat Dr. Dr. Rudolf Maijlat (1923-2007) - Partial small damages due to age

Im großen Schrein aus Sandelholz geschnitzt die Darstellung des Bishamonten mit schwarzer Fassung auf einem Oni stehend mit furcht erregendem Blick. Der Kleine Butsudan beinhaltet die Darstellung des Marishiten, teils polychrom gefasst. Auf der Rückseite eine nicht mehr leserliche Inschrift.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
