Alois Gabl

Alois Gabl, an Austrian painter and draftsman, came from a baker's family and taught himself drawing. He received a scholarship from the Prince-Bishop of Brixen, allowing him to attend the Munich Academy of Fine Arts. Initially focused on church painting, Gabl later shifted to historical and genre painting. He gained attention with his work "Haspinger, die Tiroler zum Kampfe anfeuernd."
