Haukur Dór

Haukur Dor is an Icelandic artist who studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen. Later he studied at the Visual Arts Center in Maryland, USA. He held his first solo art exhibition in 1963 and has since held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in many countries. He has worked on pottery and art in Iceland, Denmark, Spain and the USA. Today he devotes himself entirely to painting. Hauks Dor's work can be found in the Icelandic Art Gallery, Reykjavik Art Gallery, and the Icelandic Design Museum, among several other art institutions and private collections.
