Jacques Doucet was a French lyrical abstraction artist, co-founder and member of the CoBrA movement 1948, graphic artist and designer. His painting very quickly developed a style of its own: round or deliberately pastose abstract forms, in matte paintings framed by black lines. In parallel with his work as a painter, Doucet created important works on paper: lithographs, gouaches, collages and drawings. He also developed patterns for tapestries.
