Martin Schöneich

Martin Schöneich is a German sculptor and teacher.

He studied sculpture and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and became known for complex geometric forms made from a combination of sandstone, steel and wood.

Schöneich concentrates on several elements: segments of circles, spheres, cubes or cylinders become geometric symbols, which he transfers to real space in various variations. A characteristic of his precisely calculated works is great compositional and formal clarity. Schöneich's works are often built on a few points, they barely touch the ground, which gives them lightness and elegance.
