Martinus van Andringa
Martinus van Andringa was a Dutch portrait, still life and landscape painter. Van Andringa was a student of Johannes Hinderikus Egenberger in Groningen, Alfred Jean Andre Cluysenaar in Antwerp, Jean-François Portaels in Brussels and Fernand Cormon in Paris. He painted, watercolored and drew mainly figures (nudes and portraits), interiors, landscapes and still lifes. He was a member of "Arti et Amicitiae" in Amsterdam. He lived and worked in Groningen, Brussels, Düsseldorf, Paris, Haarlem, Leeuwarden, The Hague, Uccle, in Amsterdam.
