Nguyễn Xuan Huy is a Vietnamese painter. Nguyen spent 2001–2002 as a student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux. This was followed by postgraduate studies from 2004 to 2006 at his alma mater. A scholarship enabled him to travel to his home country in 2005. There he captured the victims of the defoliating agent Agent Orange with pencil and camera. In the years that followed, the subject of people born malformed due to defects in their parents' genetic makeup became a very important theme for the artist. Since 1998 Nguyen has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Europe and the USA.
