Paulus Janszoon Moreelse
Paulus Janszoon Morelse was a Dutch portrait painter and architect of the Golden Age, a member of the Guild of St. Luke in Utrecht. He was very popular as a portrait painter and received commissions from all over the Republic: he painted portraits of contemporaries and colleagues as well as members of the nobility. Morelse also painted pastoral and historical scenes in Mannerist style.
