Peter Bömmels is a German painter and draughtsman. Through his association with the artist group Mülheimer Freiheit, he is one of the most important representatives of the Neue Wilde of the 1980s. He taught at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from 2004 to 2018. He lives and works in Berlin.
