Rudolf Riemerschmid

Rudolph Riemerschmid was a German artist, he was a part of the Munich Secession and created luminously coloured and emotionally evocative works influenced by Art Nouveau. He was experimental in his technique, combining lithography with traditional painting, and his works were featured prominently in the influential publication ‘Jugend.’ However, the First World War had a detrimental effect on his career, leading to a change in focus towards childhood innocence and a more traditional style.
