Rudolf von Normann
Rudolf Karl Friedrich Ernst von Normann was a German painter, draftsman, lithographer, etcher and set designer. He is considered a representative of the romantic landscape painting of the Düsseldorf school. From 1834 to 1843 he studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. In 1835 he undertook a study trip to Switzerland. In 1844 he became one of the founders of the democratic and academic-critical group Crignic, whose name consists of the initials of its members.
