Adolf Schrödter
Adolph Schroedter was a German painter and graphic artist from the Düsseldorf School of Painting, considered a pioneer of the German comic strip.
From 1820 Adolph Schroedter studied etching in Berlin, and from 1827 he devoted himself to painting at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts and in 1829 joined Wilhelm von Schadow in Düsseldorf, where he remained until 1848. There he was also a member of the artists' association Malkasten.
Adolf Schrödter was married to Alvina Heuser, a well-known painter of colours and arabesques.
