George Vicat Cole was a British landscape painter.
Born George Cole (1810-1883), a landscape painter, he began exhibiting early at the Royal Academy and became a Royal Academician in 1880.
Early in his career, Vicat Cole was influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and painted pictures demanded by the times - peaceful, pastoral landscapes from the suburbs of London.
