Tarcisio Merati, also known as "Coccolone," was an Italian outsider artist who spent most of his artistically productive years in a psychiatric hospital. Despite this, he created a significant body of work including drawings, texts, and musical compositions.
His drawings of "dream toys," focusing on nature and mechanics such as birds, cars, airplanes, and turbines, were his most renowned pieces. His artwork often contained explicit or symbolic sexual references.
