Daniel Fohr was a German painter of the second third of the 19th century. He is known as a landscape painter, brother of the famous artist Carl Philipp Fohr.
Daniel Fohr at the beginning of his career worked under the creative influence of his brother, his style stood out with fresh colors and realism. He subsequently moved towards a late Romantic style. In 1839 Fohr became court painter in Baden. He was a passionate collector and amassed an extensive collection of Romantic paintings and drawings, including works by his brother.
