Heinrich Hellhoff was a German painter of the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He was considered one of the most popular German portrait painters of his time.
Hellhoff was known for his ceremonial portraits of aristocrats, politicians, officers, and cultural figures. He regularly participated in major art exhibitions, including the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and an exhibition at Munich's Glass Palace. During World War I, Helhof went to the front as a reserve officer and was killed in action.
