Karl Petrovich Beggrov
Karl Petrovich Beggrov (Russian: Карл Петрович Беггров) was a 19th-century Russian artist of Baltic-German origin. He is known as a painter, watercolorist, and lithographer.
Karl Beggrov was one of the first in Russia to engage in lithography, published a number of lithographic albums and created lithographic portraits of Emperor Alexander I and Nicholas I, as well as famous figures of the Russian Empire. He also worked with watercolors and painted walls and ceilings in the Winter Palace and the Hermitage halls in St. Petersburg.
Karl Beggrov was the father of the famous Russian painter Alexander Beggrov.
