Otto Serner
Otto Serner was a German painter of the late nineteenth and first quarter of the twentieth centuries. He is known as a painter, landscape painter, and impressionist.
Otto Serner became famous for his colorful works, especially seascapes conveying intense sunlight. He traveled to Italy to study light effects. The island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea also inspired him with its unusual rocky landscapes and sea shimmers. Later, working on commissions for King Frederick Augustus III of Saxony, he traveled to Greece.
