Theodor Alexander Weber
Theodor Alexander Weber was a French painter of the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries of German descent. He is known as a painter, marinist and landscape painter.
Theodor Weber, when he was only 15 years old, became a pupil of the German painter Wilhelm Krause, who specialized in seascapes, which predetermined his specialization. He made his debut at the Paris Salon of 1861 with the paintings "View of the City" and "Shipwreck". Weber specialized in seascapes and often depicted French ports on the Atlantic coast. His style was realistic with vivid colors. In 1890 he made a trip to Constantinople, which resulted in several paintings.
