Horst Janssen was a German graphic artist, printmaker, poster and illustrator. He created many drawings, etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, and woodcuts.
There is a museum dedicated to his legacy in Horst Janssen's hometown of Oldenburg. His works are represented internationally in major museums.
William Combe was a British writer and poet.
Combe authored a variety of prose and satirical verse, but is best known for the popular Dr. Syntax series of books published between 1812 and 1821, for which he wrote the text and artist Thomas Rowlandson did the drawings. The first book in the series, The Journey of Dr. Syntax: In Search of the Picturesque (1812), was published by the publisher Rudolf Ackerman, and he oversaw further collaboration between Combe and Rowlandson. William Combe's poems about Dr. Syntax with Rowlandson's illustrations were immensely popular in their day.

Niklaus Manuel Deutsch's artistic style is influenced by the Renaissance and Albrecht Dürer. Along with Holbein, he is considered the most important representative of the Renaissance in Switzerland. He created designs for jewellers, altarpieces, portraits and other paintings. His richly coloured canvases depict mainly mythological and biblical scenes.
François Clouet was a major French Renaissance portrait painter.
François was the son of the painter Jean Clouet (1485-1540), from whom he learned painting. He became the favorite court portraitist of Kings Francis I, Henry II, Francis II and Charles IX.
